Description
Safety Scissors are the inventory item in the Baldi's Basics series that is shaped like a real-life pair of scissors. The scissors are pink, and the blades look like plastic, creating a feeling of safety.
Usage
According to the product description in Johnny's Store, Safe Scissors has three main usages:
- Cutting the 1st Prize's wires: Cutting the attached tool will cause the 1st Prize to stop pushing players for 30 seconds. However, the wires can only be cut when this character is seen.
- Cutting Playtime's jump rope: Playtime says "Oh! That makes me sad” and pauses for 15 seconds when her rope is cut.
- Cutting Bean's bubble gum: This effect will help players run away from this character faster.

General
Safety Scissors can often be found in classrooms, faculty rooms, and the library. At Johnny's Store, this item costs 50 YTPs. Besides, this is also an object that can be seen appearing along with some other items in faculty rooms.
In each version
- Baldi's Basics Classic: With a 1st Prize duration of 15 seconds, players can find Safety Scissors in three classrooms containing black, green, and cyan notebooks.
- Baldi's Basics Birthday Bash: Presents will occasionally yield Safety Scissors or they can be found in Crazy Item machines. The effect time for 1st Prize in this version is also 15 seconds.
- Baldi's Basics Classic Remastered: In this version, players can find scissors in the same locations as the Classic version in the Classic Style. The time the 1st Prize is affected by the item is 30 seconds.
- Baldi's Basics Full Game Early Demo: Although the game code has a Safety Scissors, during the main game rounds, this item does not appear.
Trivia
Baldi's Basics Plus
- There is a poster in the school that notes the uses of Safety Scissors. However, players will not see paper-cutting or homework-cutting applications appearing during games.
- Since version 0.1.2 of Baldi's Basics Plus, using this item on Beans has been effective. And until version 0.2.1, Safety Scissors can first cut the wire of the 1st Prize.
- There is a possibility (rarely) of two pairs of scissors appearing in the same faculty room.
- Players can cut 1st Prize's wires when they don't need to see him in future updates.
Baldi's Basics Classic
According to developer mystman12's tweet, in version 1.3, the first scissor is planned to be placed in the classroom to the left of the starting hallway.
